What is capped composite?
Capped composite products undergo an additional manufacturing process where the composite material is coated in an engineered acrylic polymer layer. This material creates a "cap" around the composite making it more durable and resistant to fading.
Each board is 3600/2500 x 219 x 26 mm in size.
1.4 x 3600mm boards per square metre.
2 x 2500mm per square metre.
Installation Notes
- Battens to be spaced at 500mm intervals
- If the Cladding runs Vertically: 2 Starter clips per Cladding panel
- If the Cladding runs Horizontally: 1 Starter clip per batten along the vertical starting edge
It is recommended to predrill a slightly bigger hole through the board and the trim to allow for expansion and contraction. The predrilled hole size should be larger than the screw's thread size, by 1.5 mm to 2mm. (The predrilled hole size should also be smaller than the screw's head size, by at least 2mm. If this difference is less than 2mm a washer should be used).
Cladding Battens need to have a minimum thickness of 30mm.

All Arena Premium Composite products have a 10 year manufacturers guarantee as standard.
- Whilst we ensure each order is from the same manufacturing batch, orders placed at different times may result in a different batch colour variation.
- On delivery, ensure all boards are stacked neatly and keep them flat and on a level surface to avoid bowing.
- Do not drag the boards on rough surfaces or across other boards to avoid damage.
- Cover all boards to protect the external boards from weathering / UV fade.,
- Do not leave boards uncovered.
- Arena Premium Composite products have wood fibres exposed to weathering and light. They will undergo a natural weathering process and the colour of the grained side will become lighter. For decking, the reverse (grooved) side gives an indication of what the colour will become.
- Be sure to move furniture regularly in the initial months, to allow for an even weathering.
- Do not combine 2.5 m and 3.6 m slatted cladding boards within the same project. These lengths are manufactured separately and may come from different production runs, which can lead to minor differences in profile and shade. For the best overall finish, stick to a single board length throughout your installation — choose either 2.5 m or 3.6 m, but not both.
- For the most consistent look, place your full board order at the same time and select one length only. Products made in different production runs or lengths can show slight tonal variation. This is a normal part of the manufacturing process.
- The most effective way to clean composite cladding is to wash it gently twice a year, ideally in spring and autumn, using warm, soapy water and a soft-bristle brush or sponge to remove dirt and debris. Finish by rinsing thoroughly with clean water. Avoid using harsh chemicals, wire brushes, or high-pressure washers, as these can damage the surface.
