• In the event of a fire, a smoke vent window helps to reduce the impact of smoke inside a room or building, protecting occupants and reducing danger. Because smoke rises, the most effective placement for a ventilation window is in the roof.
• It is an¬†automatic¬†smoke vent window. The window is linked to the control unit. If a smoke detector registers smoke in the atmosphere, or a ‚Äòbreak-glass‚Äô point is shattered, the signal is activated. Upon receiving this signal from the control unit, the window uses its electric motor and gas struts to automatically open the window to maximum position within 60 seconds.

The factory-fitted electric motor and gas struts on the Smoke Vent roof window ensure it opens automatically in the event of a fire, quickly extracting excessive smoke and heat. The maximum position of the window sash is reached within 60 seconds when the smoke detector detects smoke in the atmosphere, the break-glass point is shattered or the fire/smoke detect button on the control unit is pressed. The control unit has a battery backup system that ensures an emergency power supply for up to 72 hours, so in the event of a power failure the window will still operate.
