The Velux rooflight is designed in such a way that you have the opportunity to bring light into uninhabitated spaces. It is not advisable to use these rooflights in habitable rooms because of their thermal performance. This is a side hung opening rooflight.

The pane should be cleaned with a soft, clean, lint-free or non-abrasive sponge. The rest of the window can be cleaned with ordinary household cleaners. The filter can be removed and either washed or replaced.
